Mr Thomas Jones joined MPCT Rhymney in July 2014 after being refused entry to the Armed Forces due to his Body Mass Index. Mr Thomas Jones was told he had to lower of his BMI to eligible for British Army selection which is exactly what he did with the help of MPCT. Mr Thomas Jones demonstrated excellent core values such as robustness, dedication, and pride by sticking to his strict diet plan and pushing himself on the challenging physical training sessions.

After completing the initial 26 week engagement class Mr Thomas Jones was progressed onto the B-Tec Level one course where he would study public services, application of number and communications qualifications. After completing the course Mr Thomas Jones left with a progression into employment but then returned two months later where he would achieve his diploma in Public Services. Mr Thomas Jones continuously performed to a high standard being particularly noted for his strong work ethic, good sense of humour and very positive attitude towards voluntary work. Mr Thomas Jones has now achieved his goal of entry into the Royal Engineers and is doing very well indeed.
